Occasionally I get asked about the prices of my jewellery. Recently someone asked how I could justify being so much more expensive than the jewellery you can find on Temu 🤦♀️
My response: I use recycled and ethically sourced materials and have a zero waste policy which while it makes everything more environmentally sound, costs more time (and therefore money) to make.
I pay above award wages and everything is made in my studio as opposed to using cheap labour in sweatshops overseas.
My customers not only have fabulous taste but they are also incredibly intelligent and educated on the importance to buy quality over quantity. They know that purchasing a Frank Ideas design means they will have something that lasts and will be recognised as being thoughtfully designed and made.
I'm interested to know how often you are tempted to buy cheaply even though in your gut you know that someone (and the environment) might have suffered during its creation?
Why is your jewellery so expensive?
